Flaine, the summit of the Grand Massif
The summit of the Grand Massif, Flaine enjoys an imposing view and remarkable amounts of snow.
Flaine also means the charm of a pedestrian resort built on 3 levels: "Flaine-Foręt" at 1700 m, "Flaine-Forum" at 1600 m and "Flaine-Front de Neige" at 1500 m. These three areas are linked (outside lifts and pedestrian paths) and give direct access to the ski lifts.
The resort centre is pedestrian only. Here you will find all the shops and services in - or around - the resorts two shopping arcades (Flaine Foręt and Flaine Forum), which are not far apart.
The off-slope activities offered each year in Flaine get better and better: from exhibitions at the cultural centre to the thrill of quads on ice, from cross-country skiing to evenings “hunting” on snowmobiles or snowshoes, from swimming to bowling, etc.
2 km from the centre, in a remarkable setting (at 1,800 m), the Hameau de Flaine is a group of 70 extremely comfortable Scandinavian chalets.
